Writing workshop with Sandy Shreve – November 21, 2009

A 3 hour workshop on Saturday, November 26, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. sponsored by the Federation of BC Writers.   “When Old Becomes New Again: Writing Poetry in Traditional Forms” will be an afternoon of talking a little about the history of formal poetry (think sonnets and glosas, metre and rhyme) but mostly we’ll be writing it, trying several different forms.  Sandy Shreve and I co-edited In Fine Form, the first book of Canadian form poetry.  At Alliance for Arts & Culture, 100-938 Howe Street, Vancouver.  $50 for non-members of the Federation, $40 for members.
